Shot

when your feet won't stand still and your fingers insist
on racing
and your heart beats in tune to the rollercoaster
in your head

eat a keylime pie
or a sausage on rye
tell a stinging lie
swat a filthy fly

and grin
win
enjoy the din

of a drunken caviar soaked night
or a totally tacky pointless fight

and ask yourself if you even remember

a time

when your insides burned
and your fervent mind churned

for something real

and if only you'd known then
it would never be again

do you think
you might have

savoured the run
still chased the sun
held on to the one

put away the gun?

  5. some of the lines actually did sting me!

And you won't believe I spent yesterday evening seething and listening to 'Hey Man, nice shot' by filter... but then again you might just surprise me by believing..

  7. This is a repetition. How do you play with them so?

Can the game be taught? Is there a coach somewhere? Does one need to practice everyday, under the lamp... scribble one page each day.

Does one get lots of homework too?

    Too many questions?

aparna:life moves in circles wouldn't you agree?
Your head is your only coach but unlike a game its the lack of discipline which probably inspires so perhaps then its not really a game?
homework might work out of the home, but who knows?

    too many questions? Always welcome.
