"Why do I keep beating myself with a hammer?
To feel real?
Because it feels so good when I stop. "
(Grey's anatomy)
No
It doesn't.
That's when the soreness really kicks in.
The futility of it all?
Yes
So I just find another hammer.
For variety
For thrills
for chills.
Why?
Because I can.
And you can't.
And you shan't.
Stop.
Is just another word
I haven't heard.
Cry
Is a non option
Rivers run dry.
Try?
Perhaps one day
When I can truly say
I broke the hammer
Just to stay alive.

Oooh! gripping and powerful as always!! Its tough indeed to let go off the hammer and actually go through all the soreness so we end up picking other hammers.. someday we would have to break the hammers.. im just wondering how it would feel then.
Just wondering: are you trying too hard...? :)
Assisted in making me more gloomier-

Wondering if I should start watching the series...
Lovely poetry, beautiful blog, I need to come back again!
This reminded me of a song I was just listening to: Go with the Flow - Queens of the Stone Age
"It's so safe to play along
Little soldiers in a row
Falling in and out of love
With something sweet to throw away.
But I want something good to die for
To make it beautiful to live."
Uncanny, I say.
cherie: ...made sure he was dead :)

Screams, whispered...
True, not just of this one post.

we should all stop beating ourselves up and start tending to each other
'All you need is
LOOOVE
Love. Love. Love

woman: real hammers make no noise
simmi: even death by chocolate is preferable
Simmi:
Optimism? No... Realism.
And yes, courageous!
Inkblot:
If a hammer falls in a forest, with no one around to hear it, does it make noise?
What's your poison? Loneliness, or solitude?
woman: nectar for the gods that don't exist
Inkblot:
For you!
