Looking In
It winked and curled up.
Mischief on the mind.
It squealed and rolled up
If you dared to be kind.
It laughed and whirled round
Teetering on tiptoe
It hugged the warm ground
And teased you real slow.
Spat fire and got high
Stepped near and let fly
Feasted on fresh lies
As you gazed, you gazed
Into expressionless eyes..
Looking out
It crept out, slowly, surely
Still a hint of fear
It leapt at you now squarely
And pulled you gently near.
You're its tall strong tree
You're its need to be free
You're its bird in the sky
You're its reason to fly.
It tumbles in your arms
It ferrets out your charms
Your the window in its heart
As it looks and looks
Still looking
Into the wet wet world in your eyes.

Is this the baby?
Enjoyed the dichotomy of this one. I suppose most things happen when you're not looking. And then...
Scary, I got chills reading this. The words pulled me in and didn't want to let me out.
Roll around the mouth ravishingly lyrical and poignant with meaning.
hey Inkblot!! I wanna see your power PUBLISHED! Pseudonym or not, let RIP!
oooo, that is so cool! it's playful and yet not, and it's...for some reason making me think fuzzy, but maybe that's just the ferret thing...
Aparna: is NOT!
Doc: and then...? yes. :)
Eating poetry: enjoy!
Misty : thanks!
Verve: Omigosh, thanks. Not sure I deserve that much enthusiasm, but hey, it feels good! :D
I love the words. Felt like it will continue... Part III perhaps?
Are the two worlds the same?
i love your work. it has a dark edge to it that helps frame my view of the world but mostly YOUR view of your world.
Asked u for an explanation for "looking in", now am 'looking out' for answers..
*bang bang*
No serious I meant to write it right after I read this today..you should be charging royalties u know...it's hard to believe you create these every day! Everyday!!
Amazing!
shadowlor: yeah, ferreting is fun, fuzzy is eve nicer! :P Thanks.
mermaid: one is more inward looking and defensive and the other is more about letting oneself look out of the window at the world outside. At some level though the need/aspiration is the same...
VP: will catch you today and explain, promise!
sg: hadn't considered part III, perhaps you would like to try your hand at it?
cj: dark edges for me are blurred boundaries mostly.
aradhita: youn have no idea what you are doing for my ego sweetheart! thanks. :)
