chardonnay, everyday
sparkling, tingling
like the sun in your eyes
rising, surprising
a million highs
breathe it in
watch it glow
shut your eyes
feel it flow
a perfect tulip
clean chilled skin
strong slim stem
designed to win
reflecting rainbows
fresh fruity smiles
smelling like thirst
succulent style
sipping a storm
crystal clear
toasting the world
look,
summer's here

chardonnay and summer, somehow goes together like...
er, wine and glass!
sipping a storm
crystal clear
toasting the world
look,
summer's here
Ohhh I so love :)
Clever concoction. Not much of a wine connoisseur, but I feel like I'm missing out:)
Not much of a chardonnay person... prefer my beer in summers. They have lovely hoppy beers in summer here.
Lovely last stanza to end it. Like always.
ah today i can safely say the words fit the mood here - we finally have sun here!
i'll be sure to have a drink or 2 on your behalf too ;)
Guess I fall in the beer category, but the poem is worthy of a toast!!
How about red? On a star-spangled summer night? Full-bodied? :)
Loved this one.
I could imagine a flowery-feminine-light-sparkly dress that drapes around in layers and pleats itself softly. :)
'smelling like thirst'
yum ..
so pungent ... it stained ..
cj: try licking it off your fingertips sometime..
aparna: now that's a poem in itself! Thought I'd give the red a break for a while- keep it clean, white, delicate like the picture above. :)
san:lovely to know the sun is out back there- and yes,do a few for me, I miss being there.
john cox:loved the stuff you make
mermaid:try it sometime, makes you light and fancy free.
sg:will do one on beer sometime. and thank you.
aradhita: hit some heady fruity ones, could change perspective...:)
pat: cheers!
aria: attagirl!
